As part of our Harvest Festival, we are asking our families to donate food items that we will gift to the Vale of Glamorgan Food Bank. This week, we had a special assembly where Mrs. Thomas a representative of the Food Bank talked to us about why donations are so important and what we can offer. We are collecting any packaged non-perishable food items or essential non-food items such as toiletries and hygiene products. This can include:

• Cereal
• Soup
• Pasta
• Rice
• Tinned tomatoes/ pasta sauce
• Lentils, beans and pulses
• Tinned meat
• Tinned vegetables
• Tea/coffee
• Tinned fruit
• Biscuits
• UHT milk
• Fruit juice

Mrs Thomas will join us at our Harvest Festival to collect our donations and deliver them to the Llantwit Major Food Bank. Our School Council will visit the Food Bank to see first-hand the Food Bank and help with organising the donations.
