Class Blog – This Week’s Learning Highlights! 16.4.25

What a busy and exciting week we’ve had in Year 5 and 6!

In Maths, we’ve been revising all the different concepts we’ve learnt throughout the year – from fractions to angles and everything in between! We also completed our online Personal Assessments in numeracy and reasoning. Everyone worked really hard and showed off what they have learnt – well done!

In Literacy, we’ve been focusing on spelling. We practised lots during the week and then took our 50-word spelling test. It was great to see how much progress we’ve made with tricky words!

Our French lessons were full of colour this week – literally! We’ve been learning how to say different colours in French and using them in sentences. Très bien!

In Welsh, we’ve been discussing our holidays. We talked about where we went, how we travelled, who we went with, and what the weather was like. We used all of this information to plan out postcards that we’ll be writing in Welsh next week – rydyn ni’n edrych ymlaen!

In Art, we explored the beautiful work of Welsh artist Alison Bradley. Inspired by her style, we created our own pieces of artwork, and they look fantastic! The classroom is now filled with stunning landscapes and countryside scenes.

Well done to everyone for another fantastic week of learning. Keep up the great work!
