Dosbarth Llwynog Blog: A Week of Learning, Action, and Celebration!

What a fantastic week it’s been for Plaza 3!  We've had a truly exciting and educational time, from our visit to The Senedd in Cardiff Bay to our performance at the Great Sustainability Summit, not to mention the wonderful Easter celebrations arranged by our PTA. Here's a little peek into our week.

A Trip to The Senedd

Our week started with an inspiring trip to The Senedd, the home of the National Assembly for Wales. We had the incredible opportunity to learn about how politicians work and make decisions that affect all of us. We discovered how laws are debated and passed, and even got a chance to sit in the very chamber where those important discussions take place!

We also got to see first-hand how democracy works in Wales. Our visit was a real eye-opener, and we walked away with a greater understanding of the role politicians play in shaping the future of our communities and environment.

Staging Our Own Mini Protest

Taking inspiration from our lessons on politics, we staged a mini-protest on the steps of The Senedd! Armed with posters that were full of creativity, passion, and determination, we raised our voices for sustainability and climate change. The posters were filled with powerful messages about the environment, showing that we care about our planet’s future. It was a meaningful way to express our concerns and show that even as young people, we can have a voice and make a difference.

The Great Sustainability Summit

As the week progressed, we had the exciting opportunity to speak at our school’s Great Sustainability Summit. With confidence and clarity, we shared what we had learnt about sustainability and climate change with our parents and community. Our speeches were full of precision, as we conveyed an important message about taking care of the planet. It was truly inspiring to see our classmates speak so passionately, and we were proud to be part of such an important event.

Easter Celebrations

To end the week on a high note, we celebrated Easter in style with a fantastic range of activities organised by our wonderful PTA. We enjoyed some fun-filled games, crafts, and delicious treats, and it was the perfect way to wrap up our busy half-term.

Happy Easter!

As we head into the Easter break, we want to wish everyone a very happy Easter! We hope you all enjoy some well-earned rest and fun, and we can’t wait to come back and continue our learning journey in the next half-term.

From everyone in Dosbarth Llwynog, thank you for an unforgettable week!

Have a wonderful Easter, everyone! 🌸🌱
