Show Racism the red card

🌟 Class Blog – What a Week We’ve Had! ðŸŒŸ

This week has been full of learning, discovery, and reflection in our classroom!

In Maths, we’ve been working hard on the column method for both addition and subtraction. Everyone has shown great perseverance as we practised setting out our calculations carefully and checking our answers. It’s been wonderful to see the confidence growing across the class!

In our Writing Journey, we explored interviews — finding out what they are, how they’re structured, and why they’re such an effective way to share information. The children asked some fantastic questions and began thinking about how to write their own interview pieces next week.

Over in Reading, we combined comprehension with technology. Some children used ICT to complete a Celt-themed comprehension, while others used their creativity and digital skills to design their own quizzes. It’s been great to see how technology can support and extend our learning in different ways.

We also spent time this week discussing anti-racism and the importance of treating everyone with respect and kindness. These thoughtful discussions have helped us prepare for “Show Racism the Red Card”, reminding us that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and included.

Looking ahead to next week, don’t forget that school is closed on Monday for an INSET day. We’ll be finishing off our writing journey during the week, and we have a very exciting Friday planned — our class trip to the Roman Museum! We can’t wait to bring our history learning to life.

What a brilliant term it’s been so far — well done, everyone, for all your hard work and enthusiasm!
