Numeracy – Multiplication & Arrays
This week, we continued our multiplication journey by exploring arrays and learning how to create multiplication sentences. The children worked hard to spot patterns and understand how groups of numbers link together—fantastic effort all around!

Literacy – Bringing Stories to Life
In Literacy, we continued working on the middle section of our Stella and the Seagull story innovation. The children are developing their ideas brilliantly, adding exciting twists to their versions of the story. We can't wait to see how their tales unfold!

Inquiry – Coral Reefs & Habitat Building
This week, we got hands-on with our coastal habitat learning! The children used recycled plastic bottles to create their own coral reefs, thinking about how marine life depends on these unique ecosystems. They also took their creativity outdoors, building their own habitats in our construction area. It was fantastic to see teamwork, problem-solving, and imagination in action!

Welsh – Weather Forecasting
Our Tywydd (weather) learning is taking shape, and the children have started creating their own weather forecasts—watch out, we might have some future TV presenters in the making!

Special Visit – Welsh Water Assembly
A highlight of the week was our visit from Welsh Water, who taught us about where our water comes from and how we can reduce our consumption. Our class, Tylluan Eira, impressed everyone by showing off their fantastic knowledge of the water cycle—da iawn pawb!

Looking Ahead – Our Porthcawl Trip!
Excitement is building for our trip to Porthcawl on Monday, 10th February, where we’ll be exploring rockpools and learning more about coastal habitats. It’s going to be an amazing experience seeing marine life up close!
