What a week!
What an amazing start to our new topic. The week started with an amazing jump out day on Monday. This saw the children taking part in designing giant jungle artwork, researching and writing animal fact files, participating in a bush tucker trial and working in teams to create jungle shelters. We had an amazing opportunity in the afternoon by getting up close to reptiles that you would find in the rainforests. Chris from Bridgend reptile world came in to show the children stick insects, different types of lizards, a giant tortoise and various snakes. We all had a fantastic time.
The rest of the week has been just as busy, with our final workshop of GarageBand on Tuesday. A huge thank you to Phil and Dan for this. The children have really enjoyed it.
We have continued to look at time in Maths. Which has been tricky but through perseverance and effort we are making progress. This week also saw the start of our new literacy journey. This term we are looking at persuasive writing, within posters, leaflets and adverts. We have identified the features needed, which we can then use to create our own piece of persuasive writing.
A super busy week but enjoyed by all.
