Pili-Pala’s Exciting Trip to Plantasia!
What an adventure the Pili-Pala class had this week! We took a fantastic trip to Plantasia, where the children explored the wonders of the tropical rainforest and met some incredible creatures along the way. The excitement was contagious as we stepped into the lush greenery, surrounded by exotic plants and the sounds of the jungle.
One of the highlights of our trip was meeting Speedy the Snail. The children were fascinated to learn about Speedy's slow and steady movements and how snails play an important role in the ecosystem. There were lots of giggles as we watched him glide across leaves, leaving a shiny trail behind.
We also had the chance to meet Magpie the Snake! The children were captivated by her beautiful scales and learnt all about how snakes move and hunt. Some were even brave enough to touch her and feel her smooth, cool skin. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that deepened their understanding of these amazing creatures.
Our learning didn’t stop at Plantasia! Back in the classroom, the children have been working hard on their literacy and maths skills. In literacy, they created wonderful leaflets about endangered animals, using their trip as inspiration. They wrote fascinating facts and drew fantastic pictures to raise awareness of the importance of protecting these species.
In maths, we have been focusing on number formation, number recognition, and number bonds to 10. The children have enjoyed fun and interactive activities to help reinforce their learning, using real-world examples from our trip to make numbers come alive!
It has been a truly exciting and educational week for Pili-Pala, and we are so proud of all the children for their enthusiasm and hard work. We can’t wait for our next adventure!
