This week, our little eco-warriors have been busy learning how to make a difference for our planet! Inspired by the stories of Litterbug Doug and Michael Recycle, the children have explored the importance of recycling and caring for the environment. Here's a peek at what they've been up to:
Recycling Superheroes in Action! 🦸♀️🦸♂️
The children got creative and designed their very own recycling superheroes! From imaginative costumes to superpowers, their ideas were both inventive and inspiring. They also put their own superhero skills into action by helping to collect litter around the school grounds, making our space cleaner and greener.
Making Paper and Sustainability in Llangan
As part of our efforts to make Llangan more sustainable, the children followed step-by-step instructions to make their own recycled paper. They were fascinated by the process and learned how small actions can lead to big changes for the environment.
Pictograms and Place Value Fun
In ICT, we used Jit to create pictograms, helping children understand how data can be visually represented. This activity sparked great conversations and insights. Meanwhile, in Maths, we revisited place value, with hands-on activities to reinforce their understanding of numbers and their positions.
PE: Practising Ball Skills
In PE, the children have to focus on their ball skills. This week we practised throwing and catching.
At Home
We encourage you to ask your children about their recycling superheroes and the paper-making process – they’ll love sharing what they’ve learned! Perhaps they can even help you with recycling at home.
