WB 2nd March 2026

What a wonderful and busy week we have had in Pili Pala!

We started the week by celebrating our whole school Eisteddfod. The children enjoyed taking part in the celebrations and we were very proud of everyone who received prizes during the special prize giving. It was lovely to see the children showing such enthusiasm for Welsh culture and traditions.

In literacy, we have been exploring how characters speak in stories. The children have been learning about speech and how we can show this in writing using speech bubbles. They had lots of fun creating their own puppets and thinking about what their characters might say. The children then wrote speech bubbles for their puppets and used them to act out their ideas.

On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day. We  continued developing our story writing skills. The children have been busy creating their own stories and designing puppets to match their characters. It has been fantastic to see their imaginations and creativity shining through!

During our Cool Challenges, the children have been very busy with lots of hands-on learning. Some children worked together to build castles, thinking carefully about how to make them strong and tall. Others enjoyed creating Welsh scenes, using different materials to represent the beautiful landscapes of Wales.

It has been a lovely week full of creativity, storytelling and celebrating Welsh culture. We are very proud of all the fantastic learning the children have been doing.

Diolch for your continued support and your kind Amazon Wishlist donations! It is greatly appreciated.
