Llanfair away - 30.9.25

Llangan continuing their participation in the Cluster League

Our football teams took part in Cluster League matches against Llanfair this week. The Year 5 team won 4-1, showing great teamwork and determination. The Year 6 team lost 8-1, but they played with heart and represented our school with pride. I was so proud of how all the pupils performed—well done!

We’ve also handed out a QR code for pupils interested in joining their local tennis club. With our new equipment arriving, we’re looking forward to getting stuck into some tennis sessions soon!

Year 6 Report - Written by Jack Stevens

On Tuesday afternoon Llangan Football team played in our second match of the cluster league against Llanfair Primary School.

They were a very strong and well organised side. Their defence was very strong.

Our first game ended 6-1 to Llanfair with Jack scoring the only goal after a long pass from Noah which was headed through by Seb and Jack finishing it off in the bottom corner.

In our Second game we played much better with better defence keeping the score to 2-0.

Everyone played really good. Three players stood out to me in the game Marla, Theo and Gracie. But the player of the match goes to Gracie for her good passing and defence.

Match 1

The team played well. Arthur was the goal keeper. I was captain and everyone subbed throughout the match. The person that I thought stood out the most in the match was Huw so I have picked him as the player of the match.  Score: 2:0 to Llangan

Match 2

Again, the team played well, our defence was good and everyone was sticking to their positions. There were lots of attempts to score. The score was 1:1. I have chosen Isla as our player of the match for her determination throughout the game.

Final score 3:1 to Llangan.  Come on Llangan
