Literacy Homework:  As part of our learning about how we help the Earth, we would like the children to take part in a simple and fun home investigation activity with you. In class, we are exploring how we can care for our planet by: recycling, saving water, turning off lights and reusing items.

Homework Task:

At home, please help your child look for examples of how your family helps the Earth.

You could talk about or show:

• Putting rubbish in the recycling bin
• Turning off taps when brushing teeth
• Switching off lights when leaving a room
• Using reusable bags instead of plastic bags
• Reusing boxes or containers for play or storage

You could record this and upload onto seesaw or record in the homework journal.
