This week in Dosbarth Gwenynen we have been very busy learning through lots of exciting activities.

In Maths, we explored measurement using non-standard measuring objects. The children enjoyed comparing lengths and sizes using everyday items and discussing their ideas together.

In Literacy, we shared the story Pinocchio. The children sounded out familiar words from the book and practised mark making, drawing pictures to accompany the words they explored.

We enjoyed our Jump In Day, where the children were introduced to our new topic “Puppets”. The children showed lots of enthusiasm and curiosity as they began exploring this exciting new topic.

We have also been learning about our feelings in Welsh, practising how to say how we feel and talking about different emotions in a supportive and encouraging way.

During Welly Wednesday, we explored the outdoor area, enjoying learning through play and investigation in the fresh air.

In PE, the children have been developing their ball skills, focusing on passing and kicking a ball while working cooperatively with their friends.

 We are so proud of the enthusiasm and effort the children are showing in all areas of their learning and how well our new friends have settled into Nursery.
