Exploring, Investigating, and Growing: Life in Dosbarth Gwenynen”
We are delighted to share some of the wonderful experiences Dosbarth Gwenynen has enjoyed recently.
Our Jump-In Day was a great success, and the children thoroughly enjoyed being introduced to our new topic, Nature Detectives. On Monday, we spent the entire morning outdoors taking part in a range of exciting activities, including a nature hunt, bug investigations, natural painting, nature weaving, and lots of bubble blowing.
Throughout the week, the children have embraced a variety of engaging classroom challenges. These included seed investigations and exploring a wide range of fruits and vegetables in the tuff spot. In maths, we have been developing our skills through flower pot addition and number recognition activities, as well as using positional language with our bear activity.
We have also been very lucky with the beautiful weather, which made our Welly Wednesday session especially enjoyable.
A reminder that next Wednesday is our school trip. We are extremely grateful to the parents who have kindly volunteered their time to accompany us to the beach—your support is very much appreciated.
For the trip, please ensure your child brings:
- A rucksack
- A packed lunch
- A water bottle
- A change of clothes (in case we get wet exploring the rock pools!)
- A sun hat and sun cream, if needed
Finally, we have a small request—if anyone has any spare seeds, strawberry plants, soil or plant pots, we would greatly appreciate any donations for our enterprise Jump-Out Day at the end of the academic year.
Thank you for your continued support.
