What a brilliant first two days back at school! I have been so impressed with how well the children have settled back into school life. They have been well behaved, enthusiastic and ready to learn, which has made for a really positive start to the year.

We have spent some time getting ourselves organised and setting up our classroom and resources, making sure everything is ready for all the exciting learning ahead.

This week, we have enjoyed some maths revision, reminding ourselves of some of the skills we have learnt previously and getting our mathematical brains working again! We have also completed a literacy task, where the children wrote to me about their strengths, the things they enjoy and what they are hoping to achieve this year. It has been lovely to find out more about their interests and aspirations, and to hear about the goals they have set for themselves.

There is already lots to look forward to, and we are particularly excited about our residential trip to Morfa Bay next week! We can't wait for the adventures that await us.

A big thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Meet the Teacher this afternoon. It was great to meet new people and see so many friendly, familiar faces. I hope you found the afternoon useful and informative.

We are looking forward to another fantastic week next week and a wonderful year together in Year 5!
