New fence!

Forest School and Outdoor Learning

This week’s Forest School and Outdoor Learning sessions were full of teamwork, problem-solving, and practical skills!

Pupils learned how to use hammers and nails safely and responsibly, practising their hand–eye coordination and showing great focus. They also helped cut back a large willow bush, learning about how plants grow and how to manage our outdoor environment sustainably.

Perhaps the most exciting part of the session was beginning the construction of our very own ecological fence! This project will help create a safe space for wildlife while teaching us about natural materials, habitats, and sustainability.

It was wonderful to see everyone working together, encouraging each other, and showing real pride in improving our outdoor learning area.
