The week that we took our first pots of honey

Forest School and Outdoor Learning - 25.9.25
Our latest Forest School session was a perfect mix of creativity, skill-building, and nature’s treats!
Pupils continued developing their confidence with basic tools, using saws and knives safely to create their own 3D shapes from natural materials. It was wonderful to see teamwork and problem-solving in action as they experimented with different structures.
We also took time to close down our beehive for winter, learning about the life cycle of bees and how we can care for them through the colder months. The highlight? Pupils got to extract and taste our very own honey – a golden, sticky reward for all their hard work and patience over the past months.
Forest School continues to be a place of wonder, learning, and connection with the natural world.
