Looking Ahead
Y6 Maths Challenge Tournament
Our Year 6 pupils will be taking part in the Maths Challenge at St Brides School. This exciting event gives children the chance to compete alongside pupils from other schools and stretch their mathematical thinking. We wish them the very best of luck!
Football Match – Friday 21st vs Pendoylan
Our school football team will be playing an away match against Pendoylan on Friday 21st. The squad have been training hard and are excited to put their skills into action. We know they’ll represent Llangan with determination, teamwork and great sportsmanship. Best of luck to the team—go Team Llangan!
Jump Out Day – Friday 28th November, 2:10 pm
We are excited to invite all parents and families to our Jump Out Day Event, held in the lunchroom at 2:10pm.
This special celebration is a chance for pupils to share the incredible work they have completed throughout their termly enquiry. Children will present the outcomes of their learning, showing how their ideas have developed and the creative ways in which they have explored their enquiry.
Jump Out Day gives real purpose to the children’s learning and offers families the opportunity to see their progress, creativity, and effort come together in one meaningful final piece.
We look forward to welcoming you.

PTA Cinema Night
The PTA are organising a Christmas Movie Night on Thursday 4th December, 3:30- 5:00 pm. for organising another brilliant Cinema Night. These events are always a highlight for the children and help raise funds that directly benefit our school.

The Past Week In Llangan:
Year 4 Residential – Cardiff Bay
This week, our Year 4 pupils set off on their very first residential trip! Led by Miss Spiller, Mr Howles, and Mrs Jones, the children stayed overnight at the Urdd Centre in Cardiff Bay, joining friends from Llansannor Primary.

Residential experiences help pupils grow in independence, resilience and teamwork. The children enjoyed an action-packed two days including:
-
A scavenger hunt in Cardiff Bay
-
A thrilling speedboat tour
-
A visit to the cinema
-

-
Techniquest Museum

-
Ten Pin Bowling at The Red Dragon Centre
-
Lazer Tag
-
A sponsored Children in Need walk
-
A behind-the-scenes tour of BBC Wales, where they met Clare Summers, tried presenting the news and weather, and even spotted Pudsey!
It was a memorable adventure—well done Year 4!

Lest We Forget – Remembrance at Llangan
This morning, our Year 6 pupils led the whole school community in a moving act of remembrance.
At 11am, they guided us in a minute’s silence to honour those who have served and sacrificed. This was followed by a thoughtful and beautifully delivered assembly linked to their World War II enquiry. Pupils shared:

-
personal stories uncovered in their cynefin homework,
-
local history from Llangan and surrounding villages,
-
and reflections on conflict in the world today.
They also organised a whole-school Poppy Artwork Competition and awarded prizes for the most creative pieces.
We are incredibly proud of Year 6—true ethical, informed citizens and wonderful role models.

Odd Socks Day – Anti-Bullying Week
💙🧦 On Monday we marked the start of Anti-Bullying Week with Odd Socks Day!
