Dear Parents and Carers,

Following feedback and questions raised about school meals, we are pleased to invite you to attend a Big Fresh Parents’ Meeting in the school hall on Monday 2nd March, immediately after our school Eisteddfod.

Representatives from Big Fresh, the catering company that provides our school meals, will be on site to present to parents and stakeholders. They will share information about:

• The current school menu

• Portion sizes

• Allergy information

• The regulations and legislation that inform menu design

• How meals are planned and quality assured

Importantly, they are also keen to listen. This will be an opportunity for parents to raise any queries or concerns directly and to hear responses first-hand.

We also have a Parent Forum meeting on Friday 27th February, where school meals will be an agenda item. Please feel free to raise any points there, and we can share these in advance with Big Fresh so they are prepared to respond fully on the 2nd March.

Big Fresh has expressed a genuine commitment to working closely with both parents and the school. They are very keen to ensure that parents’ voices are heard, to respond openly to feedback, and to share clear information about the meals served in school each day.
