Homework: Count and Collect

This week’s maths homework is “Count and Collect.” Can you collect different objects from around the house, such as buttons, toys or fruit and count them aloud as you place them in a bowl or tray.
Example: “Can you put 3 buttons in the bowl?”.  Say the numbers out loud as you count.

For children who are ready for a challenge, can you sort the objects by colour, size, or type, count each group separately, and compare which group has more or less. You can also try combining groups for simple addition or subtraction.
 

Homework may be submitted in Home Learning Logs or alternatively uploaded onto your child’s Seesaw account.
