What a wonderful and festive week we have had in Year 5!

This week, we have been busy writing thoughtful letters to our parents and carers all about having an eco-friendly Christmas. We discussed simple but important ways to look after our planet during the festive season, such as reducing waste, reusing wrapping paper, choosing recyclable materials, turning off lights when not needed, and thinking carefully about the gifts we give and receive. The children shared some fantastic ideas and showed great awareness of how small changes can make a big difference.

We also took part in our Christmas concert, which was full of jokes, laughter, Christmas joy, and plenty of festive songs! The children performed brilliantly and should be very proud of themselves for spreading so much cheer.

To make the week even more magical, we had a visit from a very important man… Father Christmas himself! He came to see us and was delighted to tell us that everyone in Year 5 is on the good list. There were lots of smiles and excitement all around!
