Christmas week!!
Please can we take this opportunity to thank our lovely children and their families for the most beautiful cards and gifts! We are incredibly lucky and very touched by your thoughtfulness. Thank you so much!
What a truly magical and memorable week it has been in school. The highlight was undoubtedly our wonderfully festive Carol Concert, which we were proud to perform twice for parents and families. The children sang with confidence, enthusiasm and festive spirit, and they should be incredibly proud of themselves for all their hard work and rehearsals paying off so beautifully.
We also brought our learning journeys to a close in literacy, where the children finished writing persuasive texts explaining why children should learn about Christmas around the world. They worked hard to use persuasive language and thoughtful arguments to engage their readers.
In our inquiry lessons, pupils researched how different countries celebrate Christmas and confidently presented their findings to the class, showing excellent curiosity, teamwork and presentation skills.
Alongside our learning, we embraced the festive season by enjoying a delicious Christmas dinner, celebrating with class Christmas parties, and even welcoming a very special visit from Santa himself, which brought lots of excitement and smiles.
It has been a wonderfully busy and exciting term, and we are all very much ready for a well-earned break. Thank you for your continued support — we wish you a happy, restful Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
