Year 2 and 3 Class Blog
What a fantastic week we’ve had in Year 2 and 3! The children have been working incredibly hard across all areas of their learning, and we’re excited to share what we’ve been up to.
In Maths, we have been exploring fact families using our knowledge of times tables. The children have impressed us with how confidently they have been spotting number patterns and making links between multiplication and division.
In Literacy, we have been getting into the festive spirit with lots of Christmas-themed writing. We have created wonderful acrostic poems, practised identifying and using rhyming words, and even written our very own Christmas traditions quizzes. The creativity on display has been brilliant!
We have also been very busy practising for our Christmas concerts. The children cannot wait to show you their amazing acting and singing skills. Every single child has worked so hard, and we are incredibly proud of them.
In addition, we’ve been crafting some beautiful Christmas decorations—they’re so lovely you might find yourself wanting to keep them up all year round!
A little reminder:
- Key Stage 2 Concerts will be held Wednesday 17th December
- We have a busy and exciting week ahead, so please make sure to check the dates of all the upcoming events.
Well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and hard work—what a wonderful festive season it’s shaping up to be! 🎄✨
