What an exciting and productive week it has been in Year 2 and 3!
The children have been busy planning and writing their very own Celt and Roman adventure stories. They worked hard to make their writing shine by including adjectives, dialogue, and similes, while also remembering the all-important basics: capital letters, full stops, and checking their spelling. It’s been wonderful to see their creativity and attention to detail come to life in their stories!
In Maths, we continued exploring multiplication. The children have been learning and practising strategies they can use independently when they find a question tricky. Their confidence is growing every day, and it’s fantastic to see them persevere and succeed.
We concluded our topic this week with some incredible rich inquiry tasks. The children showcased their learning by performing for Reception and Year 1. From gladiator scenes to interviews and presentations, they truly impressed us with their knowledge and enthusiasm. They worked brilliantly both co-operatively and independently, and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts.
To round off the week, we enjoyed a wonderful Jump Out Day! It was a fantastic experience for both parents and pupils, filled with fun, creativity, and shared learning. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special.
Well done, Year 2 and 3 – what a brilliant week of learning and teamwork!
