Maths Focus: Multiplication and Reasoning

Our class has been working hard to strengthen our multiplication skills. We’ve gone beyond just finding the answers—pupils have been exploring why their solutions are correct by reasoning and justifying their thinking. It’s been fantastic to see everyone explaining their strategies and building confidence in problem-solving.

Literacy: Understanding News Reports

In literacy, we’ve continued learning about news reports and how they can change depending on the target audience. Pupils have been comparing different styles and discussing how language and tone shift to suit readers. This has helped us think critically about how information is presented in the media.

Creative Project: Castle Podcasts

We’ve also been working hard on our podcast project! Pupils have been showcasing their understanding of local castles by creating engaging episodes packed with historical facts and creative storytelling. These podcasts are a brilliant way to combine research, writing, and speaking skills—and we can’t wait to share them soon!
