Friday 21st November

Welcome to this week’s newsletter! It’s been another busy and exciting week at Llangan Primary School, filled with creativity, community spirit and plenty of learning. We’re delighted to share important updates, reminders, and celebrations with you, as well as look ahead to some wonderful events coming up.

Ordering in the Kitchen

A gentle reminder that jacket potatoes and baguettes must be ordered in advance of the school day.
Children are not able to order these options once they arrive in school.

If pre-ordering has not been completed before morning registration, your child will be offered a standard school lunch for that day. Thank you for helping us keep lunchtimes running smoothly.

Parent Forum

A huge thank you to the representatives who attended our Parent Forum today. Your input provided valuable insight into parents’ views on a range of topics, including Parents’ Evening and wider communication.

PE Kit Reminder

Following our discussions, we would like to remind families of our expectations for PE kit, which were shared during Meet the Teacher events and in previous newsletters:

  • Pupils should wear dark joggers or shorts (black or navy).
  • Pupils must wear their house-coloured t-shirt or dark coloured t-shirt. If you are unsure of your child’s house, please speak with their class teacher.
  • Children should wear their school jumper.
  • Branded hoodies or jumpers must not be worn.
  • No football kits or sports kits to be worn.
  • Nike Pro-style short shorts are not part of our uniform and should not be worn, even in warmer weather.

Thank you for helping us maintain a smart and consistent standard across the school.

The Parent Forum members suggested the school adopt a new PE top for September 2025 so that we are consistent. They will ask you for your opinions about this.

Jump Out Day

Friday 28th November – 2:10pm

We are delighted to invite all parents and families to our Jump Out Day celebration. This special event allows pupils to share the fantastic learning they have completed during their termly enquiry.

Children will showcase:

  • Their final outcomes
  • How their ideas have developed
  • The creative process behind their enquiry work

Jump Out Day gives real purpose to the children’s learning and offers families a wonderful opportunity to see their progress, creativity and hard work come together.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Expressive Arts

Children across the school have created some beautiful art inspired by their current enquiries. Using a range of media, pupils produced original pieces that we can’t wait to share with you at Jump Out Day.

Football Team

A huge well done to our football team for their match against Pendoylan Primary School on Friday. We are proud of their teamwork, determination and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to our Maths Challenge team who came third in the Rural Vale competition at St Bride’s CIW Primary School.
