Winter is coming...

Dosbarth Draenog - 20.11.25

Hello everyone!

We hope you’re all well and ready for another exciting update from Dosbarth Draenog! After recovering from a fantastic residential trip last week—what an adventure it was—our learning journey continues with great enthusiasm.

This week, we’ve dived deep into the world of multiplication and division. The children have been engaging with these concepts through games and challenges, making the learning both enjoyable and effective. It’s encouraging to see their mathematical skills blossoming!

In addition to our number work, we’ve also written a poem to support our Inquiry journey. Poetry is a lovely way for us to express our thoughts and feelings, and the children truly shone in their creativity. The poem reflects not only our learning but also the friendships that have blossomed during our time together.

As we look forward, we are beginning our next topic: Newspapers, with the intriguing question—whatever happened to King Angus? The children are buzzing with ideas and I can’t wait to see what stories they create.

Furthermore, we finished our websites about Cardiff Castle this week, showcasing our research and creations beautifully. To wrap up a fantastic week, we had a wonderful time making fires in Forest School, learning about teamwork and safety while embracing the great outdoors.
