Class Blog – This Week in Our Learning Journey

What an exciting week it has been in our classroom! We’ve been diving into lots of different areas of learning, and everyone has shown fantastic creativity and curiosity.

📚 Narrative Poetry Writing Journey
We’ve started a brand-new writing adventure! Our focus is on creating narrative poems linked to our topic. Pupils have been exploring rhythm, imagery, and powerful vocabulary to bring their ideas to life. We can’t wait to share some of these poems soon!

➕➖ Maths: Addition and Subtraction
We’re coming to the end of our addition and subtraction topic. The class has worked hard on solving multi-step problems and checking their answers using different strategies. It’s been brilliant to see confidence growing in mental and written methods.

🏰 Designing Cardiff Castle Websites
As part of our topic work, pupils have been designing their own websites all about Cardiff Castle! They’ve thought carefully about layout, images, and interesting facts to make their sites engaging and informative. This has been a great way to combine history with digital skills.

💡 Science: Investigating Light
In science, we’ve been exploring how light behaves. Pupils have carried out investigations into reflection and refraction, discovering how light can change direction and create fascinating effects. There were lots of “wow” moments during these experiments!
