It’s been a busy and exciting week in Dosbarth Gwenynen as our little pirates have been setting sail on new learning adventures!

The children have been sorting pirate treasure into different groups — exploring shapes, sizes, and colours as they discovered the best way to organise their sparkling loot! 💎

Everyone has also designed and named their very own pirate. We loved hearing all the imaginative pirate names and seeing the fantastic drawings that brought their characters to life! 🏴‍☠️

Our Number of the Week has been 4, and we’ve been spotting and counting sets of four all around the classroom. Meanwhile, our Sound of the Week was S, and we’ve been listening carefully for that sneaky “ssss” sound in our pirate words! 🐍

To help our pirates get ready for their adventures, the children have been threading colourful beads to make necklaces — a great way to practise those fine motor skills. They also got creative with tearing, cutting, and sticking different materials to make beautiful collaged pirate ships. 🚢

We’ve been singing lively pirate songs together and exploring some wonderful pirate stories, sparking lots of talk and imagination about life on the high seas. 🌊

What a fantastic week of fun, creativity, and learning! We can’t wait to see where our pirate adventures take us next! 🏝️✨
