What a busy and exciting week we’ve had in Pili Pala!

This week the children have been exploring the story of The Little Red Hen. Together we created story maps to help us remember and retell the tale. The children also linked their learning to cynefin – their sense of belonging and place. They wrote about their own cynefin and proudly presented what they had learned to their friends.

In class we had lots of fun using the Bee-Bots, directing them around maps of our cynefin. The children also worked creatively to build 3D models of our school and painted beautiful pictures to show what makes our school special.

Looking ahead to next week, we will continue preparing for our Harvest Festival, learning songs and practising ready to share with you soon. In maths, we will be learning to sort and match objects to specific numbers. In literacy, we’ll be taking our work on The Little Red Hen a step further – recording our own version of the story and putting it together to create a very special class book.

Well done Pili Pala for a fantastic week of hard work and creativity – we can’t wait to see what you achieve next week!
