WB 7.7.25

This week in Pili Pala, we’ve been exploring the magic of kindness and how it makes our hearts – and our classroom – shine a little brighter.
We began our week with the wonderful story “The Colour Monster” by Anna Llenas. The children were captivated by the idea that our feelings can be all mixed up sometimes, just like the colour monster’s! We used the story as a springboard to talk about how we feel, how we can help our friends when they’re feeling sad, and most importantly – how to show kindness in everyday ways.
The children had so much fun making their own kindness monsters! These friendly creatures were designed to spread happiness, help friends, and remind us that being kind feels good.
We also helped sort out the Colour Monster’s emotions and created kindness jars.
Acts of kindness filled our room all week! We made cards for our friends, sharing kind words and drawings to brighten each other’s day.
Conversations about kindness have been woven into every part of our day, from sharing toys to helping each other with coats and offering a hug when someone’s sad. Your children are learning that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
We’re so proud of how thoughtful, empathetic, and kind our Pili Pala learners have been this week.
Reading books will now be collected and returned in September. Reading books are available online using the following Username: Pili Pala. Password: Llangan
