What a busy and exciting time we have had in Pili Pala!

This week, we have been exploring our indoor and outdoor learning areas and getting used to earning links for completing different challenges. The children have shown lots of enthusiasm as they have explored, played and learned together.

In our mud kitchen, we became imaginative chefs, creating our own recipes using natural materials. There was lots of mixing, measuring and chatting about the delicious creations being made!

Our small world area inspired some wonderful storytelling. The children used the characters and resources to make up their own stories, developing their imagination, language and communication skills.

We have also been busy with our Bee-Bots, directing them around familiar places. The children practised giving instructions, thinking about direction and working out how to get their Bee-Bot to its destination.

There has been plenty of opportunity to develop our counting skills through play and challenges, helping us to become more confident with numbers.

We even found time to slow things down with some yoga! We practised different poses, worked on our balance and enjoyed a calm moment together.

It has been lovely to see the children becoming more confident in their new learning environment, taking on challenges and beginning to understand how they can earn their links. We are looking forward to another busy week of learning, exploring and having fun in Pili Pala! 🦋
