We started the week by listening to the Year 6 children deliver their Head Boy and Head Girl speeches. They were absolutely fantastic, and we were so impressed by the confidence and enthusiasm shown by everyone who took part. A huge congratulations to our new Head Boy, Huw, and Head Girl, Ella – we know they will do a wonderful job representing our school.

We also found out which school committees we will be part of this year. The children are really looking forward to getting involved, sharing their ideas and working together to make a positive contribution to our school community.

🌊 An Amazing Adventure at Morfa Bay! 🌊

From Wednesday to Friday, Year 5 have been away on their residential visit to Morfa Bay Adventure Centre – and what an amazing few days it has been!

The children have thrown themselves into a fantastic range of activities, including bodyboarding in the sea, a night walk, bush craft, zip lining, climbing and archery. They have shown courage, determination and enthusiasm, with lots of children challenging themselves and trying things outside their comfort zones.

We could not be prouder of them. Throughout the residential, the children have been fantastic ambassadors for our school and a real credit to themselves, their families and our whole school community.

Residential experiences such as Morfa Bay provide children with so much more than exciting activities. They give them opportunities to develop their independence, confidence, teamwork and resilience, while also creating wonderful memories with their friends.

Finally, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our parents and carers for your support in preparing the children for their residential and helping them feel ready for time away from home. Your encouragement and support really do make a difference.

We are returning to school with lots of stories to tell, achievements to celebrate and memories that we hope will last for many years to come!
