What a fantastic first two days back at school we have had in Dosbarth Draenog!

I have been so impressed with how well the children have settled back into school life after the summer holidays. They have been wonderfully behaved, enthusiastic and eager to learn, and it has been a real pleasure getting to know them as a class.

The children have risen to the challenge of becoming a class on their own incredibly quickly. They have shown that they are ready to take on new responsibilities, work together and make the most of all the learning opportunities that Year 4 will bring. I am already really proud of them!

We have enjoyed some fantastic Literacy and Maths lessons, revisiting and strengthening our basic skills and getting our brains back into learning mode. It has been lovely to see the children sharing ideas, challenging themselves and supporting one another.

Over the next couple of weeks, we are looking forward to doing some inquiry into our local area. There will be lots of opportunities to explore, investigate, ask questions and find out more about the place we live in. I can't wait to see where the children's curiosity takes us!

I am also really looking forward to meeting you all at our Meet the Teacher meeting on Monday 7th September at 3:30pm. It will be a lovely opportunity to share a little more about Year 4 and what we have planned for the year ahead. If you are unable to make it, please don't worry, the presentation will be made available here on our class page afterwards.

It has been such a positive start to the year, and I am genuinely impressed by the learning, behaviour and enthusiasm the children have shown already. We have a very exciting year ahead of us, and I am looking forward to seeing Dosbarth Draenog grow, learn and flourish together!
