🌼 Pili Pala WB 22.06.2026 🌼
What a wonderful week we have had in Pili Pala!
Our classroom has been full of creativity as the children enjoyed decorating their own plant pots, ready to showcase their growing plants. They all took great pride in designing colourful and unique creations.
As part of our inquiry, we have been exploring the wonderful illustrations of Eric Carle. The children learnt about his distinctive collage technique and created their own beautiful minibeast artwork inspired by books such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar. They carefully used a variety of colours, textures and shapes to bring their insects to life, producing some fantastic pieces that we are very proud of.
In Science, we completed our investigation, discussing our findings and thinking carefully about whether our predictions were correct. It has been fantastic to see the children developing their scientific thinking and using new vocabulary to explain what they discovered.
Our literacy work has focused on writing informative leaflets, where the children have been using everything they have learnt during our inquiry to create engaging and informative pieces of writing. We have been so impressed with their effort and enthusiasm.
With the soaring temperatures this week, we also enjoyed a very special Pili Pala Pamper session! The children relaxed with calming activities, cooling foot spas, cucumber eyes, gentle music and refreshing treats to help us all stay cool and look after our wellbeing.
A huge well done to every child for their fantastic behaviour throughout the week. They have shown kindness, respect and ambition in everything they have done, making us incredibly proud.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to another exciting week together!
Please remember our Jump out day will now be at the end of the day on Monday 29th June 2026.
