Swimming Superstars!

What an incredible week Year 4 have had during their intensive swimming programme!

Swimming every morning brought plenty of challenges, and not all of them were in the pool. Remembering swimming kits, getting changed quickly, keeping track of belongings and somehow managing to dry hair in time for afternoon lessons all required organisation, independence and resilience. The children rose to every challenge and represented the school brilliantly throughout the week.

In the pool, the progress made has been fantastic to see. Our more confident swimmers were able to focus on refining their technique, building stamina and developing their skills even further. Meanwhile, those who were less confident in the water showed tremendous courage and determination, growing in confidence each day and achieving the fantastic milestone of swimming lengths of the pool.

One of the highlights of the week was the high-quality instruction the children received. The instructors were in the water with the pupils, providing encouragement, support and expert guidance every step of the way. This hands-on approach ensured that every child was challenged appropriately and able to make real progress.

The week was topped off perfectly on Thursday with a well-earned sorbet treat, which was enjoyed by everyone after all of their hard work and effort.

We are incredibly proud of Year 4. They have shown determination, maturity and a willingness to step outside their comfort zones. Most importantly, they have developed skills and confidence that will stay with them for years to come.

Well done, Year 4; you've made quite a splash!
