This week in Dosbarth Gwenynen we have taken part in lots of exciting butterfly-related challenges, linked to our book of the week, “The Butterfly.”

The children have been very busy across all areas of learning:

• Counting butterflies in Welsh
• Exploring symmetry in maths
• Labelling the parts of a butterfly during literacy activities
• Creating beautiful symmetrical paper plate butterflies in the creative area

One of the most exciting moments this week has been watching our class caterpillars transform. The children loved observing them closely and were thrilled to see that they were now hanging in their cocoons!

Sports Day Reminder

We have also been practising very hard for Sports Day, which will take place next Thursday.

Please can all children come to school wearing:

• Their PE kit
• A T-shirt in their house colour

If you are unsure of your child’s house colour, please speak to a member of the team.
