Egg-citing Times in Dosbarth Gwenynen

We have had a very busy and exciting week in Dosbarth Gwenynen!

In our literacy activities, the children enjoyed matching eggs to find rhyming words. They showed great enthusiasm and developing confidence as they explored different sounds and word patterns.

For numeracy, we have been counting eggs in the nest and carefully matching the correct number of chicks to each set. The children have been working hard to build their counting and number recognition skills.

We have also been focusing on developing our fine motor skills. The children used tweezers to pick carrots from the garden, helping to strengthen their hand muscles, and had lots of fun threading beads onto rabbits’ whiskers, improving coordination and control.

On Thursday, we had our wonderful Jump Out Day, where we were delighted to welcome families into the classroom. It was lovely to share our learning, explore our topic together, and create sock puppets with you and your children—thank you to everyone who joined us!

We finished the week with lots of excitement, taking part in an Easter egg hunt and a fun Hopathon. A big thank you to the PPA for helping to make this possible.

We hope you all have a fantastic Easter break!
