exciting learning and new experiences for our class!

We have enjoyed a fantastic class trip to the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff. While we were there, we saw an incredible 7-metre sculpture by UK artist Luke Jerram, which features detailed NASA imagery of the Moon. It was amazing to see the Moon up close in such a large and detailed display. As part of our visit, we also took part in a Moon workshop. During the workshop, we learnt about the geology of the Moon, explored the different phases of the Moon, and discovered more about astronauts and their missions in space. The children asked some brilliant questions and showed great curiosity throughout the day.

Back in the classroom, we have been working hard across all of our subjects. In maths, we have been focusing on developing our problem-solving skills. The class has been practising how to think carefully about different strategies and explain their reasoning when tackling tricky challenges.

In literacy, we are honing our skills and preparing to write our own stories next week. We have been working on ideas, vocabulary, and sentence structure so that we are ready to create some fantastic pieces of writing.

In science, we have been learning about sundials and discovering how they work. The class enjoyed exploring how the position of the sun can help us tell the time and understanding the science behind it.

Well done to everyone for a brilliant week of learning!
