An intergalactic day!
This week in our Year 2/3 class has been full of excitement, creativity and inspiration!
We started the week by taking part in our wonderful school Eisteddfod. It was a fantastic celebration of Welsh culture, where we enjoyed song, dance, poetry and art. The children performed beautifully and showed great confidence and enthusiasm. We were so proud of everyone for trying their best and supporting one another. It truly was a special day for our whole school community.
On Tuesday, we celebrated Mars Day, a special event organised by the UK Space Agency. The children took part in Techniquest's 'Mars Mission', where they worked together to solve a tricky problem. They had to use excellent communication skills, think carefully about materials and their properties, and apply their problem-solving skills. It was wonderful to see such teamwork, resilience and thoughtful discussions as they tackled the challenge like real scientists and engineers!
We are ending the week by celebrating World Book Day. The children enjoyed spending time reading their favourite books and sharing recommendations with their friends. A big thank you to our fantastic PTA for providing delicious hot chocolate, which made our reading time even more special!
What a busy and brilliant week it has been in Year 2/3! We are so proud of all the children for their hard work, enthusiasm and positive attitudes.
