Amazing Aston Martin!

We have had an incredibly busy and exciting week in school as we prepared for our upcoming Eisteddfod! The classrooms have been full of creativity, concentration and enthusiasm.

As part of our preparations, we wrote our own poems, carefully choosing powerful vocabulary and imaginative ideas. We also completed and submitted our handwriting entries, making sure our presentation was neat and beautifully formed. In addition, we explored the artwork of Kyffin Williams. Inspired by his bold landscapes and distinctive style, we created our own artwork with a unique twist, adding our own creative flair while still reflecting his techniques.

Alongside our creative work, we continued developing our writing skills through debate writing. Our focus was on using a wide range of conjunctions to build clear, balanced arguments. We debated whether electric vehicles really are the answer to climate change, considering both the advantages and the challenges. We worked hard to use conjunctions such as howeveralthoughtherefore and consequently to strengthen and link our ideas effectively.

The most exciting part of our week was our visit to the Aston Martin factory in St Athan. We travelled to the impressive Aston Martin Lagonda factory in St Athan, where some of the world’s most luxurious sports cars are carefully handcrafted. We learned that the factory is known for producing high-performance vehicles, including the DBX SUV, and that each car is built with incredible precision and attention to detail.

During our tour, we were amazed to see the cars at different stages of production. One of the highlights was discovering the huge range of colours customers can choose from. From classic silvers and racing greens to bold yellows, deep blues and even completely bespoke shades, the possibilities are almost endless. We were fascinated to learn that customers can personalise many features of their cars to make them truly unique.

It has been a fantastic week full of creativity, critical thinking and real-world experiences. We are very proud of all the hard work that has gone into our Eisteddfod preparations and our learning across the curriculum.

We are looking forward to another exciting week ahead!
